About Pennsylvania Pastors Network

Welcome to the Pennsylvania Pastors Network, a network of Biblically-faithful clergy and church liaisons whose objective is to build a permanent infrastructure of like-minded clergy who:

• Affirm the authority of Scripture
• Take seriously Jesus' command to be "salt and light" to the culture
• Want to encourage informed Christian thinking about contemporary social issues
• Want to examine public policy issues without politicizing their pulpits, using well-prepared teaching and preaching resources
• Want to engage their congregations in taking part in our political process on a non-partisan basis.

These are tough but exciting goals -- and much-needed within the Christian church today, whether Protestant, Catholic or non-denominational.

The Pennsylvania Pastors Network is a project of Let Freedom Ring, Inc., a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization. Eligible events and programs of the Pennsylvania Pastors Network are co-sponsored by the Pennsylvania Family Institute, the Urban Family Council and the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation. The latter three are 501 (c)(3) organizations, just as churches are, and we will also help pastors understand how to conduct the discussions and teaching that we propose -- to ensure that they do not run afoul of the IRS 's regulations limiting political involvement by charitable institutions.

We know it comes as no surprise to you that today our society is struggling morally and spiritually. You’ve seen the constant battle - the family’s fight for its soul. The attack on our culture is imminent, and the truth is: We can stop it. As clergy, you hold the hearts of the people in your hands, and when people need someone to turn to for answers, you are there. We want to help equip you with the information and resources to help deal with today’s moral, social and spiritual dilemmas.

Historically, churchgoers have turned to their pastors and clergy for moral strength, guidance, and leadership. Strong church leaders are everywhere in our country’s history. As you are well aware, in today’s cultural climate, it is a daunting task to be that church leader, and to maintain the resources to assist families struggling against such issues as deteriorating traditional marriage, pornography, rampant sexual permissiveness, the undermining of a Biblical worldview in our public schools, abortion and other evils that seek to destroy the core teachings of our Christian faith.

The Pennsylvania Pastors Network is here to offer our support and to minister to those in the front lines of this battle. We hope our organization and this website will assist you in your quest to provide your church members with the information and resources you need in order to have a positive impact on our culture.
